Day 1

On the 18th of september my journey started. I woke up at 5 o'clock. After I said goodbye to my family and checked if I had packdd all my stuff, I went to the parkinglot at the golfslagbad to meet my friends Daan, Mitchell and Joey. At 6 o'clock we left and had an 3 hour journey to Brussel charleroi's airport, because we took some wrong turns.Then we needed to rush to our gate, surprisingly we were on time. Our flight took off at 11:15 and we landed in La Rochelle (France) at 12:45. We took the bus from the airport to the city of La Rochelle. There we walked trough the city and bought some food. After a couple of hours of strolling around in the cith we needed to catch the bus that would take us to Île d'olèron were our internship would begin. But ofcourse a busdriver screwed us over and we missed our bus. We went to an information center and there they helped us to find another bus that went that way. That bus would arrive 3 hours later, so we were still stuck in the city for a couple of hours. Then we managed to actually get on the right bus and left. After a while we found out that it was a schoolbus we were sitting in and the 2 hour journey to Île d'olèrom was fully free. Finally in Île d'olèron Frank (the boss of the camping) picked us up. At the camping we met all the volunteers and guests. Then we saw were we would sleep, we had a whole bungalow for ourselves! After this long day we unpacked all our stuff and went to bed early.
